Aton Forest has received a $2,000 grant from the AKC Fund in support of the many workshops offered at the preserve. 2013 was a ground breaking year for workshops with a total of ten programs covering a variety of topics including: birding, tree identification, ferns, naturalistic landscaping, sedges, grasses, wildflowers, invasive plants, and wild mushrooms.
